Synopsis: In this movie, Kate Beckinsale’s character, Avery Graves, is a CIA agent with countless records. But everything takes a turn for the worst when her husband she has married gets kidnapped by a group of terrorists. Now her only chance of saving him is by stealing a classified file which goes by the name of “Canary Black”. This file has the capability to destroy the world. But on top of everything, Avery has been cut off from her organization and is labeled as a traitor. By relying on her skills and wits, she now has to navigate through the corrupted black market to save her husband and prevent the world from another disaster.

Personal Insights: For me, this movie wasn’t as unique as it should’ve been. The plot and storyline seem rather drowned out as it is filled with overused tropes. Overall an engaging experience.

The film as a whole, maintains tension, and the finely choreographed action scenes portray the adeptness of director Pierre Morel to create engaging scenes in the film.
