The story in ‘Tumbbad’ has the elements of folk tales which actually makes this indian horror film with a difference.Beautiful Lushes: The dark and moody photography of the film is breathtaking in a haunting way. The beautiful but frightening visuals of the cursed village and particularly the great set designs make the film and indeed the horror epic a treat to the eyes.New Kind of Horror: Just as you absorb the onslaught of fear and mild terror that is expected of the rest of the normal horror movies, this film is a bit different in that it uses inner psychological horror rather than bruting jump- scares to create anxiety and disturbance which remain in the viewer to set a disturbing mood.Negative Aspects:Slow pacing: There are people who would consider the slow pacing of the film too slow since they expected more action or fast-paced horror.Limited appeal: Its particular narrative and its dark tones may not cater to the taste of regular audiences that are into the typical Bollywood films.
